Single and ready to mingle? Don’t miss Irish Fest’s 11th annual Hooley Hook-Up.

A Hooley is Irish slang for a party or celebration. The Hook-Up: Each summer in Ireland for the past 150 years, swarms of singles try and meet that someone special at the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival in County Clare, Ireland.

Irish Fest has taken this tradition and added a bit of a twist. The Hooley Hook-Up is a party within the party, where singles meet in search of the perfect match, creating a mingling and matchmaking festival like no other. This year, we’ve expanded the Hooley to three nights, for triple the fun!

On Friday, July 8, it’s the Name Game. Take a chance and meet your match with a fun game of who’s who. Each man and woman will have the name of character from a famous couple from a movie, TV show or history pinned to their back. (Think Jasmine and Aladdin). They will not be able to see the name. By asking a series of questions to the other participants, they figure out who their match is, and race to the finish line to win a free drink and prizes.

On Saturday, July 9, it’s the Lads and Lassies Singles Out Game.  Contestants are chosen to be on stage and answer questions for a mysterious date on the other side of a curtain.  The contestant with the best answers will be chosen to go on a date with the mystery man or woman behind the curtain.

On Sunday, July 10, try your luck with Speed Dating. At this fun and fast-paced event, singles can have a series of short conversations with potential partners to see if there is a spark.

Hooley Hook-Up hours are:

Friday, July 8, 7:30pm

Saturday, July 9, 7:30pm

Sunday, July 10, 8:30pm
