Revolutionary Irish Women in Education

For more than 10 years,Celtic Women has offered an annual “Revolutionary Irish Women” program on the nationalist women involved in activities surrounding the 1916 Easter Rising and Irish Civil War. This year’s focus is exploring Irish women who were “revolutionary” in education.

Dr. Mary McCain and Maureen Smith will present lectures on Irish women who were “revolutionary” in education from early Celtic pre-Christian times, through Medieval and early Modern eras. The program  includes readings, discussion, displays and refreshments. Tickets are $10 for CWI or IAHC Members and $15 for general admission and can be purchased at the door.
