The Nimble Thimbles

Nimble Thimbles is the quilting/crafting section of the Irish American Heritage Center. They quilt, sew, knit, crochet, needlepoint, and tat for the Center. The group is dedicated to supporting the Center and preserving Irish culture through its fundraising efforts. Each year, they produce the exquisite raffle quilt awarded to a lucky winner at the Christmas Bazaar. They also craft many handmade items, which are available for purchase at the Center’s many festivals. All of its proceeds are donated to the Center. All skill levels are welcome, and the Nimble Thimbles offer help if needed. The only requirement is that you must be a current member of the Irish American Heritage Center. If you would like to join Nimble Thimbles and contribute with your time and skills, contact the office at 773-282-7035, x 10. They meet every Saturday and Tuesday from 10-12.
