Far Too Close is a fast driving traditional Irish and old-time string group from the Southside of Chicago.
Quin Cunningham on tenor banjo is a founding member of Chicago band Coyote Riot, as well as Far Too Close. His playing style blends traditional Irish with ragtime and old time banjo techniques, while remaining distinctively in his own style of playing.
Dan Gillespie is one of the area’s top fiddle players and world-class violin maker and Luthier. His deep understanding of his instrument gives him a unique edge in every style he plays.
Matt Grant on guitar is the charismatic front man for Chicago band Coyote Riot. He utilizes his background in American folk music to bring a different take on traditional Irish tunes.
Terry Moran on mandolin is founding member of one of Chicago’s most celebrated Irish bands, the Larkin and Moran Brothers. With more than 20 years logged playing stages all over from Chicago to Galway, Moran has honed his chops on the mandolin and octave mandolin.
