Pull up a chair and listen to original tales at an evening of storytelling.

Anam Cara storytellers are current and past students of the Memoir and Creative Writing Classes at the Center. In class, students create short stories, or continue work on long-form non-fiction. Listen to stories that are humorous, heartfelt and riveting, as these writers read the work they have created in class.

Anam Cara is Saturday, September 15 at 6:30pm. Donations to the program benefit the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry in honor of the late Jim Padar. Padar wrote some of his book, On Being a Cop in the memoir class. Padar’s family and writing colleagues will read stories and poems honoring his life.
