Learn basic sewing and quilting instruction in this ongoing series with the IAHC’s Nimble Thimbles. Students complete three projects, working at their own speed. Previous use of a sewing machine is helpful, but not required.

Students learn sewing and quilting instruction, fabric selection and preparation, finding fabric grain, cutting with a rotary cutter, using a ruler and cutting mat and sewing with a ¼” seam. Projects include creating a pillowcase, fabric box and pinwheel table topper. To work on a project other than the above, notify the instructor during the first class.

Registration is limited, due to the number of available sewing machines. This class is for ages 12 and up.

Classes are Wednesdays: September 11, 18 and 25, 2019 from 7pm-9pm. Tuition is $135 and includes fabric. To register, click below or call 773-282-7035 ext. 10.
