The Working Women’s History Project Presents A Salute to The Most Dangerous Woman in America, a benefit for the new Mother Jones Museum in Mt. Olive, Illinois. Mother Jones was an American labor and community organizer.
The program features excerpts from a prizewinning documentary, Mother Jones, America’s Most Dangerous Woman”and a talk with Professor Rosemary Feurer, producer and director of the documentary.
Actor Brigid Duffy, will portray the spirit of Mother Jones in What Mother Jones Would Do Now And singer Kathy Cowan will perform songs of the era.
The event is sponsored by the Working Women’s History Project, the American Association of University Women, Chicago Branch, the, Coalition of Labor Union Women, Chicago Chapter Illinois Labor History Society and SAG-AFTRA, Chicago.
A Salute to The Most Dangerous Woman in America is Saturday, March 28, from 5pm to 8pm pm at the Irish American Heritage Center. Tickets are $35 which includes refreshments and free parking.
