Snapshots of Ireland Facebook Contest

When you traveled across Ireland and came around a bend in the road, did you see yet another beautiful view that took your breath away? Did you stop and take a photograph to capture the view?

Many of you have posted, commented and shared your love of the images and landscapes of Ireland on our Facebook page, and in our daily Dreaming of Ireland Facebook posts. Now it’s your turn! We’re calling for entries for our Facebook Snapshots of Ireland contest. We will hold this contest four times per year with such themes as cityscapes and off the beaten path. The September theme is Irish rural landscapes.

The rules:

Photographers can submit one photo of a rural Irish landscape by emailing the image to and submitting the $5 contest fee (online with form below or by mail)

Submit your favorite of Ireland (via e-mail or with the form below) by September 20 at 5pm central. From the entries we receive, three will be chosen and posted on our Facebook page. Facebook fans can vote for their favorite from September 25 through September 30. The photo that receives the most “LIKES” receives a $100 Visa gift card. One entry per person.

Proceeds of the contest support the IAHC's ongoing cultural programs.
