Join us on the 10th anniversary Live Concert of Vox Maris Chicago, an already established Romanian-American band. Together with our invited guests, we expect you to have an evening of fun and quality time, listening to a diversity of musical styles, starting with Transylvanian rock, classical American hits, ethnic Romanian flavors and Chicago blues. Relax among friends and take advantage of the free parking, on-site bar and great food, provided by our host, Irish American Heritage Center, at very affordable prices.
About Vox Maris Chicago
Vox Maris Chicago, a Romanian established band, came into existence in Chicago in 2011, as a need for self-expression, during the integration process in American life. The band was welcomed with open arms by Romanian communities throughout the American diaspora, being invited to play in multiple events, organized by Romanians all over the US. A musical style called “Transylvanian Rock” has emerged as a natural progression to the fusion between Romanian traditions and the constantly evolving American music scene. The band members have a diversity of musical backgrounds, ranging from well-known Romanian rock bands, to classic Anglo-Saxon rock, all the way to more modern up to date tunes. In 2015, Vox Maris Chicago released their first album titled "Travelers through dreams" (“ Calatori Prin Vise”), reflecting the inner experiences of the Romanian immigrant in the New World. Later, in 2019, the band released another album called “ Bread and Salt” ( “Paine si Sare”) , touching on the daily concerns of American society, while trying to find answers to an ever changing fluid reality. Currently a new album is in the works, due to be released in the Spring of 2022.
