The Chicago Calligraphy Collective invites you to attend “Try Your Hand,” a fun, casual calligraphy event where you can dabble in the art of hand-lettering and meet expert calligraphers. This family-friendly event is being held on Saturday, November 9, from 10am to Noon at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 N Knox Ave. in Chicago. Plenty of free parking.
Enjoy wandering the room watching experts-in-action as local calligraphy artists demonstrate a variety of hand-lettering styles and embellishments. Try your hand at learning a few different styles of calligraphy – traditional and modern – using a wide variety of writing tools. Dive into an assortment of hands-on lettering activities no matter what your skill level. It’s all about having fun. Come join us!
