Our April Great Irish Book Club Book is “Long Island”

Join us for our next Great Irish Book Club meeting at 2PM on Saturday, April 12, when we will discuss “Long Island” by Colm Tolbin (304 pages).

About the “Long Island”:

Brooklyn-25 years later. Eilis Lacey is Irish and married to Tony Fiorello, a plumber. It is spring 1976, and Eilis, now in her forties with two teenage children, has no one to rely on in this still-new country. Although her ties to Ireland remain stronger than those connecting her to her new land and home, she has not returned in decades.

This is a free event and we will meet in the Irish American Heritage Center Library.

Upcoming Great Irish Book Club Books:

  • May 10: The Hunter by Tana French (shortlisted for Booker Prize 2023, 481 pages)
