Summer Irish Arts Kids Day Camp at the Irish American Heritage Center
The Irish Music School of Chicago and the Irish American Heritage Center will be hosting their 16th annual Irish Arts Kids Day Camp July 21-25. Camp will run from 9am-12pm Monday-Friday.
Children ages 4-11 are transported to Ireland learning from some of the best Irish musicians, teachers and artists from around the world. Each day starts and ends with live traditional Irish music and their days are filled with learning many Irish arts forms including singing, lilting, sean-nós, group and step dancing, storytelling and folklore, and arts and crafts. Campers choose between tin whistle or fiddle for their daily music class and campers try their hand at bodhrán playing too.
The Irish Music School of Chicago and the Irish American Heritage Center partner to provide this fun yearly program to pass on the love and appreciation of Irish arts to the next generation.
