Pop-up Gaelacht/Irish Language in Chicago

IAHC partners Irish language group Na Gaeil invite you to “Tails and Tunes” in the Fifth Province Pub on Thursday, June 29th. Storytellers join the regular Thursday night session, and Na Gaeil welcomes all Irish-speakers (and aspiring Irish speakers!) to join in the celebration.

Also on the 29th, Irish language enthusiast Pat Duffy will present a program on the untold history of the Irish-speaking community from the 1830’s to the present day. Thursday, June 29th will mark the 150th anniversary of the first Irish language class taught in Chicago. Join Pat as he shares his research for the firs time! 7:00pm-8:30pm.
