Saturday with the Dirty Wellies!

The Dirty Wellies is an established traditional Irish band based in the Chicago area. The band formed in 2012 as The Murphy Girls by County Mayo natives Regina Coyle, Margaret Murphy O’Callaghan, and Bernadette Medina. They were soon joined by Kevin Branigan and became The Dirty Wellies. The lineup changed a bit over the years with Jim Aman, Vincent O’Callaghan, Frank Gleeson, and Rian Norris adding their talents.

The band’s focus is traditional Irish and Scottish music. Modern tunes and twists have come into the repertoire along the way, but the heart and soul of the band remains trad. Our style and love of traditional tunes and songs has carried us to festivals, concerts, and a variety of private and public performances.
