The Art and Materials of the Book of Kells

Award-winning author Amy Crider will speak on the Book of Kells Saturday, May 18 at 2:00pm in the Library at the Irish American Heritage Center.
Ms. Crider will focus on the materials and techniques used to create the Book of Kells manuscript, using slides and physical displays. Her new novel, Kells: A Novel of the Eighth Century is recommended by the Historical Novel Society. She spent over five years on research, including a Celtic design class at the Irish American Heritage Center.
