About the Band

A Donegal Family Taking the Trad World by Storm

Hailing from Ranafast in the Gaeltacht of County Donegal, The Byrne Brothers are a multi award-winning family band currently electrifying audiences across the USA with what they call "Next Generation Irish Trad, Folk and Dance." Brothers Luca, Finn, and Dempsey — joined by their father Tommy — blend virtuosic traditional musicianship with championship-level Irish dance and a fresh, youthful energy that has made them one of the most followed Irish music bands in the world.

Multi award-winning from an early age in music and dance competitions alike, the brothers have performed at major festivals and venues across the United States, winning new fans everywhere they go with their infectious arrangements and jaw-dropping dance routines.

Meet the Musicians

Button Accordion

Luca Byrne

The eldest of the brothers, Luca is a multi-talented artist with a passion for music, dance, and creative pursuits. His driving button accordion playing anchors the band's high-energy sound and has earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting young accordionists on the Irish traditional scene.

Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar & Irish Dance

Finn Byrne

Finn is a multi-instrumentalist who switches effortlessly between banjo, mandolin, and guitar, and is also an accomplished Irish dancer. His bass drops and kick-driven rhythm playing give the band its distinctive modern edge.

Bodhrán, Whistle & Vocals

Dempsey Byrne

Dempsey powers the band's rhythm on bodhrán, adds melodic color on the whistle, and contributes vocals — carrying on the family's deep tradition of Donegal music and dance.

Uilleann Pipes & Fiddle

Tommy Byrne

The brothers' father, Tommy brings decades of experience on the uilleann pipes and fiddle, grounding the group's next-generation sound in generations of Irish tradition.
