Our Heritage

Celebrating Irish Heritage
in the Heart of Chicago

The Irish American Heritage Center has a remarkable history — once an elementary school, then a junior college, and later a vacant building. It was transformed through the dedication of the Irish community, who led an all-volunteer renovation to create the vibrant cultural center it is today.

Come and explore the rich heritage of Ireland right here in Chicago. From lively festivals and brilliant live music in our theater, to literature and language programs. Our historic center is a thriving hub for Irish and Irish American culture.
